Care Options

Home Companion Solutions offers care that ranges from live-in service to hourly companion service for care that is needed more infrequently.  Please see the list below for the services we offer and for a map of our service area.

LIGHT HOUSEKEEPING
· Dust
· Vacuum
· Clean kitchen
· Change the linens
· Light laundry
· Light ironing
Please note: Our companions are not intended to replace a cleaning service.

ERRANDS & TRANSPORTATION
· Grocery and clothes shopping
· Pick up prescriptions
· Make bank deposits
· Theater and movie events
· Dine out for lunch or dinner
· Drive to family gatherings
· Handle dry cleaning
· Buy stamps, mail packages
· Attend religious services
· Visit the cemetery
· Drive to the doctor or hospital*
· Drive clients to the hair salon*
Please note: The companion may drive the client’s car or their own car.  If using their own car, a mileage charge will apply. 
*Our companions are not equipped or authorized to drive clients who are not ambulatory.

CLIENT CARE AND OVERSIGHT
· Respite care
· Medication reminders
· Monitor bathing for safety
· Assistance with toileting
· Companionship
· Conversation
· Cook together
· Arts, crafts, puzzles, cards and board games
· Supervise home maintenance services (house  cleaners, gardeners, plumbers, etc.)
· Read mail and sort bills for paying
· Answer the phone
· Write letters
· Water the plants
· Read to
· Watch TV together

Home Companion Solutions is a non-medical agency and our companions are not health care providers. If you feel you require a more medical model of assistance, please let us know and we can refer you!
